I am sure you’ve noticed, blue jeans are a staple. They go with almost every other garment and goes with almost every color (except for the same blue color of your jeans.) In case you are wearing your current favorite jeans thin, or realized you are wearing oversized relaxed jeans, here is the best denim right now or as I like to say, the best jeans for men.
Best Inexpensive Jeans For Men
My go-to jeans for men on a budget is Gap’s 1969 jeans in the slim or straight leg, or the Levi’s selection at Macy’s, which is almost always on discount. Currently, Levi’s are 25% off at Macy’s. You will need to find the fit that works best for your body type, but the 514 is a great straight leg go-to and I have put the 559 (relaxed straight-fit) on my clients who have muscular thighs, but want a leaner jean. The 511 and 513 is good for men on the thin side. The 527 (slim-fit bootcut) is good for men who actually wear boots. Do not wear the 527 with anything but boots.

Go-To Jean (My Pick For Best Jeans For Men)
I often put men in AG’s Graduate slim-straight leg jeans (pictured at the top of this post). It seems to work on almost everyone. My favorite shades of AG’s blue jeans are the Robinson and the Sequoia. If you want a lighter color jean for casual wear, I like the Newell color. The Newell shade can be paired with sandals, sneakers, t-shirts and navy tops. If you are on the leaner or petite side, go for AG’s Matchbox Fit which is quite a slim fit (pictured directly below). I find I put the Graduate Fit on men with a 34-inch waist and up and I put the Matchbox Fit on men with a 32-inch waist and lower. Obviously, there are exceptions like a 32-inch waist fella with muscular thighs, in which case I would stick with the Graduate fit for him.

Standard Straight Leg
This 7 for All Mankind Luxe Performance Straight Leg Jean in North Pacific is a go-to for my average male clients in need of jeans. They are super soft, perfectly straight and works with the average fella’s body. If you don’t feel like you have extra weight on you and you’re not that thin, these are for you.

For you fellas who want a straight leg look, but have some thigh, bum and maybe a bit of torso volume, you will want Citizens of Humanity Relaxed Straight Leg jeans. They are so soft they bring comfort tears to your eyes and gives your body just enough room. Reminder: this is not for petite thin men.

I don’t like relaxed jeans for the most part, but if you are going to go relaxed in your fit, you are going to go for 7 For All Mankind’s Austyn fit. This is for muscular legs or legs with some weight on them. Otherwise you will be swimming in them. This is the loosest jean on this list.

I like the J Brand ‘Kane’ slim straight leg jeans for the leaner look. This is the leanest jean on this list. This is for you fit fellas with a bit of a butt that want a skinny look that is not so skinny. The ‘Construct’ color is the best and of course it is yummy soft.
